Identi.ca, a microblogging (think twitter) service uses a platform called Laconica to provide their service. This could be useful for organizations that want to take advantage of twitter-like features without having messages going outside the firewall.

Carl Icahn has been a well known businessman for many years. He generates strong opinions. And now he gives out strong opinions in his blog, The Icahn Report™.
